I have been thinking about all of the amazing retreats I have been to or am going to in the near future and they all have one thing in common. I leave with such an overwhelming feeling of Joy in my soul. I get to connect with other women and be refreshed all while learning something new every time. They are always such great experiences and I always look forward to the next one.

So God put something on my heart, and it was hard for me to be obedient on this one. Could I really make this work? Would women really get out of it the joy and knowledge that I hoped? Could I really handle this and work out all of the details? YES!

I am a farm wife, and I absolutely love it 97.8% of the time. I also love Jesus with all of my heart and soul. I love being an advocate for our family and farm and meeting other farm wives and learning about their lives and farming operations. I also love fellowship and sharing my love for Christ with people. So I thought about what my dream retreat would be to attend, and I decided to create it and host it. A retreat for other Jesus loving farm wives to come spend a weekend with women who know just what it means to be a “farm wife”. I get a little giddy when I meet another farm wife. It’s like a club you could never really understand until you are actually in. So I am extremely excited to meet other women in this club and announce Fellowship On The Farm!

Fellowship On The Farm

– To spend a weekend with other farm wives creating lasting friendships.
– To truly take a break from our busy lives and be pampered and refreshed.
– To learn from some amazing speakers.
– To grow closer to Christ so that we may grow even closer to our husbands.
– To learn how to lead our families and farms with God on the forefront.
– To know and celebrate that we are enough and we are loved.
– To embrace our roles as farm wives.

Fellowship On The Farm will be an amazing weekend filled with relaxation, amazing food, great women, praise and worship, learning, laughing, and oh so much more. We will take time each day to spend in prayer seeking God and what he wants for us. I am most excited for the bonding that I know will take place and I can’t wait to meet the women who will come and have their hearts refreshed!

“She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25

  1. I know that I am not officially a “farm wife” but my husband works long hours like a farmer so I would love to be considered if you take other non farm wives. I grew up on a farm so I know many of the struggles although we don’t have cattle or crops this sounds amazing! I know that the women who get to attend will be so blessed.

    1. Kasha, you don’t HAVE to be a farm wife to attend, it will just be geared more towards that. We would love to have you! 🙂

  2. What a wonderful idea!! Fellowship is such an important part of faith and especially for women. There is an amazing event in Wichita the weekend of September 12th. Beth Moore will have a live event! Maybe something you want to check out? I had planned on going but it’s Gavin’s birthday and I felt bad about missing that. Something else you should know about is Jennie Allen. She wrote a study called Restless and it’s amazing. She also came up with an activity called an IF table. It’s perfect for things like this and really helps women open up. Just a couple of thoughts!

  3. Oh, this sounds like a wonderful event! I would be so excited to come and spend time with Christian sisters and fellow farmers. Although it’s aways away, I’m up in Canada. I would love to see if I could find a way to make it work and fly there. I’d love more details of this when you get them please.
    God Bless!

  4. Looks like a great retreat. There is nothing on the flyer as to times? when does it start on the 1st and when does it end on the 3rd?

    1. Hi Debra! It starts at 5:30 Friday evening and will be over around noon Sunday. Thanks for pointing that out! I will update it!
